Why is this tournament important?

Organized sports help kids learn teamwork, receive coaching, and develop self-confidence. The tournament is an excellent opportunity for the children to get out of their environments and interact with other children who are also part of our programs.

We greatly appreciate the effort put into the tournament because it allows us to spend time with the children, show them affirmation, and encourage them.

Last time, José, a boy from one of the orphanages, was crying. We thought he was crying because he had lost, but when we asked him, he told us he was crying because it was the first time he had heard a group of people shout his name and tell him he could do it.
